Avery Hart holds degrees from ASU and Harvard and is a curious, lifelong learner with passions for physics, space, ancient history, ocean ecology, and the environment. While not watching Star Trek or documentaries, Avery is dreaming up new stories that feature magic and monsters.

She lives with her husband and two daughters in the Sonoran Desert, but is willing to occasionally venture outside the writing room to explore faraway corners of the planet. They have two cats, two dogs, a guinea pig, dozens of fish, an outdoor tortoise, and an indoor turtle nestled amongst way too many fountain pens and not enough books.

  • I have traveled to 6 of the 7 continents including Antarctica and the Arctic/North Pole! I am missing Australia but it’s on my bucket list. I even lived in France for a short time, which was magnifique!

  • I LOVE school! My favorite subjects in Middle School were Math and Language Arts (writing/reading)
